The Niaver Nursery kitchen is complete!

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you this month. Thanks to the generous support of our superstar supporter, Daithi, we have successfully completed the renovation of the kitchen at Niaver Nursery School in Bwayi, Kenya! This project, which has been close to our hearts, is set to make a significant impact on the lives of many young children. 

The newly renovated kitchen officially opened on the 1st of July, and is serving 80 young children two nutritious meals every day. This initiative is a giant leap towards ensuring that these children receive the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive.  

Here are some of the benefits of the school feeding programme: 

Regular nutritious meals help combat malnutrition and related health issues, providing children with the essential vitamins and minerals they need for healthy development.

Well-nourished children are more attentive and better able to concentrate, leading to improved academic performance and cognitive development.

Access to regular meals encourages higher attendance rates, as parents are more likely to send their children to school when meals are provided.

Sharing meals fosters a sense of community and belonging among students, promoting positive social interactions and emotional stability.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Daithi, whose unwavering dedication has been instrumental in making this project a reality. Daithi's fundraising efforts have been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are delighted to say that he is currently taking on his next epic challenge—a huge Pan Celtic solo cycle, to raise even more funds for COCO! Daithi, your commitment and passion inspire us all, and we cannot thank you enough for your support.
