Over the festive period, Team COCO, our virtual running club, held a Christmas Cracker competition.
The competition gave every member who had run in a parkrun in the past year a handicap, so those who usually top the leaderboards a bit of a disadvantage! Members then ran in parkruns over the festive period, from 23rd December to 1st January, and their best time was taken, minus their handicap. A huge well done and thank you to everyone who got out of bed and ran in the freezing cold to join in the fun.
Congratulations to Caitlin Mooney for winning the competition! On hearing that she'd won the title, this is what Caitlin had to say...
"I really enjoyed taking part in the Team COCO Christmas Cracker and it motivated me to put down the mince pie and get out on Christmas day. I also celebrated my 50th parkrun on Christmas day at my home parkrun in Greenock."
